Adventure Trips
For Challenge
Adventure Awaits at Fairview Lake YMCA Camps!
Every kid dreams of a summer filled with excitement—and at Fairview Lake YMCA Camps, that dream comes true! Whether your child loves hiking through the woods, paddling across a lake, or just laughing around the campfire, our Adventure Trips for Challenge (ATC) offer the perfect mix of thrill, friendship, and unforgettable memories.
Let’s be real—kids won’t remember their best day of scrolling on social media, but they’ll never forget the summer they climbed a mountain, slept under the stars, or made a lifelong friend around a campfire.
Located in the heart of New Jersey, our ATC program is built for campers who crave something different—a summer of exploring the great outdoors, stepping out of their comfort zones, and discovering what they’re really capable of. From climbing new heights to learning lifelong skills, every day brings a new adventure.
Best of all? They’ll be doing it all while surrounded by supportive leaders, awesome new friends, and the YMCA’s core values of Honesty, Caring, Respect, and Responsibility.
This isn’t just summer camp—it’s a journey they’ll never forget.

We focus on more than just fun—we’re building the foundation for future leaders. Through skill-building, confidence-boosting experiences, and a strong sense of community, campers learn to navigate challenges, make new friends, and feel a deep sense of belonging.
At the heart of it all, we’re here to help your child grow into a kind, capable, and well-rounded young adult—one campfire, one adventure, one unforgettable summer at a time.
Where Campers Live & Play
Adventure Trips Campers and their dedicated staff live in the Delaware Unit, located on a hillside in camp. This unique setting is a great basecamp for all Adventure Trips programs - with a shared bathhouse and pavilion, lawn space for games, and beautiful woods to explore. While the airy cabins do not have electricity, the bathhouse and pavilion are both powered. A short walk away is our dining hall, where campers enjoy meals. Campers are also close to the newly expanded Wakegan waterfront, where our lifeguards and staff supervise fun and games in our pristine lake.
Y For All
Financial Assistance
The YMCA provides financial assistance to those who may require help covering the costs of camp. Our Y for All Fund plays a crucial role in keeping the Y accessible for children, adults, and families who need support. By offering financial assistance, the Y ensures that all individuals and families can participate in Y programs and services, regardless of their financial circumstances.
Make Camp Possible
You can help make the magic of camp possible for every child by supporting our Annual Support Campaign. Your donation provides financial assistance to families in need, ensuring that every camper has the chance to learn, grow, and thrive at Fairview Lake YMCA Camps. Together, we can make sure no one is turned away due to the inability to pay—because camp is for everyone.
